Description
HDR is hiring an Office Engineer / Resident Project Representative to support construction administration for multidisciplinary projects in New York City. The role involves interpreting construction documents, tracking contractor activities and quantities, reviewing materials, conducting site observations and testing acceptance, managing punchlists and closeout documentation, attending progress meetings, and supervising junior representatives, inspectors, testing services, and subconsultants. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in engineering or construction technology (or equivalent relevant experience), at least five years of progressive construction experience, construction contract and code knowledge, computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Primavera or similar software, and strong communication skills. NYC Transit experience, Track Training, OSHA 30, PMG123, and an E.I.T. or PE license are preferred or desirable. The position is for local NYC-area candidates working across the five boroughs, and visa sponsorship is unavailable.
