Description
The Principal Instrumentation & Controls Engineer is a specialist responsible for complex instrumentation and controls design, analysis, calculations, documentation, and technical leadership on oil and gas projects. The role may lead medium- to large-scale engineering teams, coordinate with multidisciplinary and external stakeholders, manage scope, schedule, budget, procurement, vendor and subcontractor submittals, and support commissioning, testing, audits, and project closeout. It requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics and instrumentation engineering, 15–20 years of oil and gas experience, and preferably a registered professional engineer or professional engineering society membership.
