Description

The Mechanic is responsible for offshore rig mechanical safety and maintenance, including hazard identification, Permit to Work and Isolation procedures, daily inspections of drilling and lifting equipment, preventive maintenance planning, maintenance records and equipment certifications, prioritization of safety-critical equipment and assurance activities in the Valaris Asset Management System (VAMS), workshop and spare-parts management, crew support, and shift or hitch handovers. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of offshore mechanic experience, hydraulic systems troubleshooting and maintenance experience, and mandatory mechanic training and certifications.
