Description
The Offshore Rigger performs various duties involving the safe and efficient lifting, installation, and movement of materials such as pipes, plates, structures, and equipment. This includes threading and installing screw pipes, coordinating crane activity, assisting fitters with measurements and cleaning, guiding crews on safety procedures, setting up skid/rail components, and reporting defective rigging equipment. The rigger also assists with water pump setup on barges, controls heavy equipment movement, rigs equipment for offshore vessels, and provides hand signals to crane operators.
