AFCA is hiring an Ombudsman for its Banking & Finance (Small Business and Transactions) team to make binding decisions on standard and complex banking and finance complaints, including small-business and transaction-related issues. The role may involve panel decision-making, professional and technical leadership, coaching and mentoring, developing AFCA approaches, and supporting relationships with regulators, government bodies, consumer groups, and other stakeholders. It is a Board-appointed role requiring legal qualifications and senior-level experience in banking, finance, a tribunal, EDR scheme, regulatory agency, or related business entity, with hybrid working and flexible leave options.
