AMAX is hiring an on-prem network engineer to design, build, and operate the network infrastructure supporting a cloud-like environment in its HostMax datacenter. The role owns VLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancers, segmentation, access control, configuration-as-code, monitoring, troubleshooting, and datacenter hardware support, while participating in business-hours on-call and an SDLC workflow. The position requires networking fundamentals, Ansible experience, datacenter operations exposure, Git proficiency, and prior colocation or smart-hands experience; benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, flexible spending, commuter, and disability insurance, with an annual salary of $120,000 to $150,000.
