Description
The Oncology RN provides professional nursing care for oncology patients in an outpatient clinic, including patient assessment, triage, education, medication administration, clinical procedures, care coordination, referrals, documentation, and physician support. The role requires an Illinois Registered Nurse license, oncology certification or continuing education, an ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration certificate within six months, and CPR certification within 30 days. The nurse also supports staff orientation, emergency response, patient advocacy, privacy, infection control, and clinic operations.
