AECOM is hiring a Disaster Recovery Public Assistance Specialist to support local, state, tribal, and territorial clients with FEMA Public Assistance recovery after a presidentially declared federal disaster. The onsite contingent role involves interpreting federal regulations, evaluating project eligibility and documentation, using the FEMA Grants Portal, coordinating with architects, engineers, and construction managers, preparing cost estimates and operational guidance, managing documentation, and resolving client and program issues. The position requires a bachelor’s degree, at least two years of relevant FEMA Public Assistance or equivalent experience, a criminal history and drug-screen background check, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools.
