Description
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a full-time permanent faculty member for Interventional Pulmonary Medicine in its Division of Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine. The role involves seeing referrals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to lung cancer, thoracic metastasis, interstitial and infectious lung diseases, and pleural diseases; managing obstructive airway lesions, lung malignancies, robotic-assisted lung lesion evaluation, acute and chronic pleural processes, and bedside tracheostomy placement. The faculty member will also teach pulmonary procedures to fellow trainees, participate in medical intensive care, and conduct clinical research. Applicants must hold an MD or DO degree, be board-certified or board-eligible in the relevant internal medicine and pulmonary specialties, and have completed at least one year of interventional pulmonary fellowship training.
