Description
NetBird is hiring an Open Source Engineer to build and ship features for its open-source zero-trust network security platform, particularly for homelabbers, self-hosters, and technical power users. The role involves full-stack development, community collaboration, pull-request review, documentation and developer-experience improvements, and tooling around local development, Docker, and Kubernetes. Candidates need at least three years of software engineering experience, open-source project experience, technical leadership, backend and distributed-systems knowledge, frontend and UI experience, and familiarity with Go, TypeScript, React, or similar stacks. The position offers a hybrid model between NetBird’s Berlin office and remote work, along with salary, equity, and technical ownership.
