Description
The Security Manager plans and directs a 24-hour security program, recruits, hires, trains, and schedules security staff, and develops ongoing training plans. The role also serves as Fire and Safety Director, overseeing evacuation procedures, rule enforcement, violations, agency liaison, fire drills, safety policies, incident reporting, and staff communication. The position may require weekend and overnight work, on-call emergency response, and advice to personnel at other HPCDC sites. Required qualifications include at least five years of law enforcement or related experience, two years of supervisory experience, a New York State Security Guard License, LL124, a Fire Safety Director Certificate, experience supervising 35 or more staff, computer literacy with Microsoft applications, and availability for weekends and overnight shifts.
