Description

Cushon by WTW is hiring an Engineering Lead - Infrastructure Operations to provide technical leadership for its AWS-based platform operations team. The role owns production hosting, security, release pipelines, observability, developer tooling, infrastructure as code, reliability, and incident management, while managing a team of 5–7 engineers with an assigned Engineering Manager. It requires strong cloud, DevOps, SRE, AWS, Terraform, observability, containerization, and CI/CD expertise, along with leadership and stakeholder-management experience. Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience in Operations, DevSecOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles in fast-growing, regulated environments
Experience leading or acting as technical lead for a platform or operations team
AWS infrastructure experience, including cost optimization, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as OpenTofu, Terraform, or CloudFormation
Expertise in observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and APM
Understanding of Docker and containerization technologies
Deep CI/CD pipeline ownership and release governance in high-stakes environments
Knowledge of AWS security best practices, including IAM, VPCs, WAF, and encryption standards
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with developer tooling and monorepo CI patterns, including CircleCI, GitHub Actions, and NX
