Description
The South Texas Project Electric Generating Station is hiring an Operations Intern to support plant activities and gain hands-on experience in commercial nuclear power plant operations. Responsibilities include monitoring plant systems, collecting and analyzing data, preparing operational logs and reports, supporting safety and quality assurance procedures, observing maintenance activities, participating in outage and system-testing preparations, and troubleshooting operational issues. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a two- or four-year institution pursuing a degree in Nuclear Technology, Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related science; have the ability to obtain unescorted access to the plant; be proficient in Microsoft Office; demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail; maintain good academic standing; and hold a U.S. driver’s license.
