Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Operations Research Scientist (Logistics) in Bangalore to apply supply chain advanced analytics, optimization, data science, and machine learning to network design, transportation routing, hub-and-spoke planning, warehousing capacity, and other logistics problems. The role develops proofs-of-concept and continuous improvement projects, manages cross-functional programs, analyzes data, tracks business metrics, and produces reports using Tableau and Power BI. It requires a graduate degree in a quantitative operations field, 7–10 years of relevant experience, and 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, Python, optimization software, and machine learning. The position involves approximately 20% travel and is open to relocation.
