Description
The Agronomy Operations Specialist supports daily operations in the Agronomy Department by operating and maintaining fertilizer plants and warehouses, handling, blending, loading, and delivering agricultural chemicals and products, maintaining inventory, and operating forklifts, loaders, and other equipment. The role also includes customer service, facility maintenance, safety, paperwork, and extended work during planting, application, and harvest seasons. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while agricultural, warehouse, equipment-operation, commercial-driving, or agronomy experience is preferred. The position requires a Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements, a DOT physical card, a Pesticide Handlers License, and an Iowa Commercial Applicators license with 1A, 1B, 1C, and seed-treatment endorsements, or the ability to obtain them.
