Description
Google is hiring an Operations Technician to install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain data center hardware, server software, networks, routers, switches, and related infrastructure. The role includes deploying new infrastructure, diagnosing equipment and operating-system issues, maintaining data security, repairing and performing preventative maintenance, and supporting larger installation projects. Candidates must have experience with mechanical or electrical systems, hardware troubleshooting, operating systems, and networking protocols, and must be able to lift 50 pounds and work non-standard hours. A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, server hardware experience, advanced networking and Linux skills, and fluent English communication are preferred. The role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
