Description
Alcoa is hiring a Power Plant Operator at its Warrick facility in Newburgh, Indiana, to operate compressors, pumps, pulverizers, boilers, turbine generators, switchyard equipment, and auxiliary systems that produce electricity, potable water, smelting steam, and high-temperature water for the smelting plant. The role also controls fuel systems and ensures continuous electrical power for aluminum production. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, three years of full-time light-to-heavy industrial or power-industry experience, physical ability, and availability for shift work including weekends; experience with fuel systems, boilers, turbines, and related power-plant equipment is preferred.
