Description
The Rig Operator works the controls and equipment on a well servicing rig, supervises crewmembers, maintains productivity and safety standards, and coordinates with customer representatives and vendors. Responsibilities include operating the rig during rig-up, rig-down, and pulling operations; handling rods, tubing, casing, and other equipment; inspecting and maintaining rig systems; troubleshooting maintenance issues; performing torque calculations; overseeing JSA and tailgate meetings; and training crew members. The role requires well servicing rig experience, familiarity with pump and tank operations, a valid driver’s license or ability to obtain a CDL, manual labor capability, communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule.
