Description
The Casting Finishing Operator sets up, loads, and unloads castings; operates a hangblast machine to remove sand, scale, and oxidation and apply a required surface finish; adds shot, inspects shot screens, removes gates and risers, sorts castings, inspects them visually and with measuring tools, and records production and quality data. The role also requires operating a forklift when needed, completing inventory and routing paperwork, and following safety and quality procedures. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with pay of $18.50 per hour for the first 90 days and a $1.00 increase after 90 days.
