Description
The Operator II operates underground-construction equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, bore drills, directional-drill machines, backhoes, trenchers, and plows. The role also includes locating utilities, inspecting and maintaining equipment, loading and transporting materials, hand digging, restoring disturbed areas, completing documentation, and working independently in a fast-paced outdoor environment. A high school diploma, GED, or related trade school education is required, along with one to two years of drilling and locator experience, experience with mud-mixing devices and bore gel, and a valid driver’s license; a CDL is preferred.
