Description
The Water Treatment Operator performs daily operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant under direct supervision. Responsibilities include routine water testing, maintaining treatment units and equipment, monitoring instrumentation and analyzers, calculating and adjusting chemical feed rates, and performing housekeeping. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Kansas driver's license, and the ability to learn wastewater treatment operations and obtain appropriate licenses; technical or mechanical experience is preferred.
