Description
The Rig Operator works the controls and equipment on a well servicing rig, supervises crewmembers, maintains productivity and safety standards, and coordinates with customer representatives and vendors. Responsibilities include operating the rig, crown and ground saver, power swivel, blowout preventer, and related equipment; performing inspections, maintenance, torque calculations, energy isolation, and incident reporting; and training and mentoring floor and derrick hands. The role requires well servicing rig experience, familiarity with pump and tank operations, a valid driver’s license or ability to obtain a CDL, manual labor capability, communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule.
