Description
UW Health is hiring a full-time Ophthalmic Assistant, also described as an Optometric Tech, COA, CPOT, to perform visual testing in preventative and specialty eye care, provide a safe and comforting patient experience, and work in a fast-paced team environment. The role is a 40-hour day shift from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with possible schedule variation based on departmental needs. External hires may receive a $3,500 sign-on bonus, and the position offers health and dental insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition benefits, and referral bonuses. No minimum education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited ophthalmic, optometric, certified medical assistant, or licensed practical nurse program are preferred. Applicants must have six months of customer service experience, and COA, COT, CPOT, or CPOA certification and CPR certification are required.
