Description
The Ophthalmic Technician assists ophthalmologists with patient pre-testing, diagnostic procedures, medical and ocular history taking, contact lens instruction, medication application, refractive testing, and operation and maintenance of ophthalmic equipment. The role also supports minor procedure setup, patient consent, clinic workflow, and learning and teaching activities. A high school diploma or equivalent training and experience is required, with 1–2 years of ophthalmic or eye-care experience preferred, and the candidate must obtain a COA certificate within one year of hire.
