Description
The Ophthalmic Technician (Certified or Non-Certified) provides primary ophthalmic care and assists physicians with patient examinations, medical histories, vision screening, eye medications, diagnostic testing, minor surgical and laser procedures, instrument sterilization, and EMR documentation. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with one year of ophthalmology experience preferred and Certified Ophthalmic Technician certification preferred. The position involves frequent walking and standing, occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds, and substantial hand and wrist motion.
