Description
The Ophthalmic Technician (Glaucoma) supports an ophthalmologist by preparing patients for examinations, providing customer service, verifying and documenting medical information, performing eye examinations and diagnostic tests, preparing patients for treatments, and maintaining exam rooms. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of related experience or training, HIPAA compliance, EMR experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Technician certification is preferred but not required.
