Description
Molex, a Koch company, is hiring an Optical Automation Engineer in Bridgewater, New Jersey to build, improve, and validate automated optical test systems. The role combines hands-on optical laboratory work with software development, including controlling optical instruments, integrating test equipment, and developing automation software primarily in C with LabWindows/CVI and Python. The engineer will troubleshoot optical, hardware, and software interactions; document requirements and decisions; participate in code reviews; and collaborate across optics, hardware, mechanical, and software engineering teams. A relevant bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent practical optics/telecom experience is required, along with knowledge of fiber optics and optical communications, programming experience in Python and C/C++, and experience with optical test equipment and instrument communication.
