Description
Lumus seeks an Optical Design Engineer or Applied Physicist to independently lead advanced optical projects from concept through prototype and validation. The role focuses on visible-spectrum imaging and illumination systems, optical architecture evaluation, aberration and stray-light mitigation, optical specifications and tolerancing, experimental validation, and development of computational analysis and automation tools. Candidates need an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in optical engineering, physics, applied physics, or a related field; strong geometrical and physical optics knowledge; optical design or development experience; Python and/or MATLAB programming skills; and professional English and Hebrew proficiency. Experience with Zemax OpticStudio, LightTools, or TracePro is advantageous.
