Description
Coherent Corp. is seeking an optical design engineer to design, prototype, verify, troubleshoot, and optimize fiber-optic systems and devices such as OTDR, OPS, and OSA. The role supports product and process development, manufacturing transfer, new technology exploration for telecommunications and WSS markets, supplier interactions, cross-functional specifications, technical support, and intellectual property development. It requires a master's degree in optics, physics, materials science, or an equivalent field, hands-on optical design and testing experience, fiber-optic systems expertise, scripting and data analysis capabilities, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in global teams.
