Description
The Optical Engineer will design, prototype, test, and optimize fiber-optic devices such as OTDR, OPS, and OSA systems; troubleshoot optical performance issues; support product transfer to manufacturing; explore new telecommunications technologies; and contribute to special projects. The role requires a master’s degree in optics, physics, material science, or an equivalent field, hands-on fiber-optic system experience, optical design and testing expertise, and data-analysis skills in Excel, Python, or another tool. The position is based in an office environment with laboratory and manufacturing interaction, occasional travel, and evening meetings with China and/or India.
