Description
The Optical Dispensing Associate assists customers with frame and lens selection, interprets prescriptions, analyzes optical products and services, and fits and dispenses eyewear. The role also provides insurance-benefit information, maintains dispensing-area cleanliness, ensures compliance with social distancing and hygiene protocols, supports apprentice opticians, and maintains customer pricing accuracy. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, applicable state ophthalmic dispensing licensure, optical-fitting knowledge, basic computer literacy, and onsite work. The position pays $24.50 to $36.75 per hour, with incentive pay, wage upgrades, and overtime opportunities.
