Description
The Aerospace Corporation is hiring an Electro-Optical Engineer for its Mission Payloads Division to lead the design, analysis, testing, and integration of passive electro-optical airborne and space-based remote sensing systems. The role involves optical ray-tracing, infrared sensor performance evaluation, stray-light analysis, sensor assembly and testing, and collaboration with cross-disciplinary engineering teams. Candidates must have a STEM bachelor's degree, at least five years of increasing optical engineering experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI SSBI security clearance; the Engineering Specialist track requires eight or more years of experience and technical leadership. The position is full-time and on-site in El Segundo, California, with an annual salary of $110,000 to $193,500.
