Description
Attalon is hiring an Optical Engineer IV in Traverse City, Michigan to plan, design, analyze, document, and execute optical designs for high-performance laser and optical assemblies. The role includes modeling and measurement of high-power laser beams, fiber-coupled systems, laser diodes, optical alignment, trade studies, tolerance analysis, and resolution of manufacturing and engineering problems. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in optical, mechanical, electrical, physics, or a related discipline and 7–10 years of relevant experience; Zemax or similar optical design experience and a history of leading laser or optical programs are preferred.
