VIAOPTIC is hiring an Optical Engineering and Image Processing professional to develop and implement optical inspection and image processing systems for polymer optics and complete optical systems. The role covers optical design, inspection engineering, customer-specification component development, image-processing test-stand programming, and coordination with internal specialist departments and external technology partners. Candidates should have a degree in physics, optics, image processing, or comparable engineering sciences, ideally initial experience designing image-processing systems, and knowledge of tools such as MATLAB or ZEMAX. The position is based at the LEITZ Park campus in Wetzlar and offers flexible working hours and mobile work by agreement.
