Description
AWS is hiring an Optical Network Development Engineer to design, deploy, scale, monitor, troubleshoot, and sustain global DWDM optical networks for its Internet Edge infrastructure. The role covers optical solution design, fiber quality reviews, network configuration, remote monitoring, vendor evaluation, operational excellence, and end-to-end project delivery across Metro and Long Haul systems. Candidates need at least one year of Linux/Unix experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and four or more years of DWDM platform, optical planning, and large-scale network rollout experience. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, with a base salary of 136,000 to 184,000 USD annually.
