Description
The Optical Network Development Engineer will build, deploy, scale, sustain, and optimize next-generation optical networks supporting AWS data centers and customers across multiple global locations. The role includes network design, routing and interconnectivity troubleshooting, automation and scripting, technology refresh, documentation, customer support, and collaboration with network, systems, software, and security teams. Candidates need at least four years of Linux/Unix, optical planning and modeling, and optical network design and troubleshooting experience, plus at least one year of professional Python or similar network automation scripting experience.
