Optical / Photonics Validation Engineering, Senior Director at Astera Labs

Astera Labs is hiring an Optical Photonics Validation Leader, Senior Director, to lead the characterization, validation, and qualification of near-packaged and co-packaged optical systems. The role owns the optical validation strategy and roadmap, develops test plans and automated frameworks, analyzes performance and failure data, leads design-of-experiments, and coordinates with design, packaging, manufacturing, reliability, and quality teams. Candidates need an M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant field and at least 8 years of experience in optical module testing, photonic component validation, or high-speed interconnect qualification. The base salary is $260,000 to $295,000, with possible discretionary bonus, incentives, and benefits.
