Description
Molex is hiring an Optical Process Engineer in Bridgewater, New Jersey, to monitor, evaluate, and improve the optical performance and manufacturability of Wavelength Selective Switching (WSS) products throughout their life cycle. The role covers optical alignment and bonding, assembly and test process development, yield and cycle-time improvement, statistical process control, corrective actions, production line moves, new product introduction, and Bill of Material changes. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in engineering, optical alignment and coupling experience, optical component manufacturing experience, and familiarity with optical performance parameters and test equipment; a master’s or PhD, fiber-optics industry experience, DFM/DFT, DWDM, and Six Sigma experience are preferred. The role pays $150,000–$190,000 per year plus variable pay.
