Amazon is hiring an Optical Reliability Engineer for its OISL Reliability team to ensure the long-term reliability and performance of optical systems, components, and subsystems, including optical amplifiers and laser-based technologies. The role develops reliability models and frameworks, conducts FMEA, FTA, and root cause analysis, executes ALT and HALT programs, applies reliability growth and Weibull analysis, supports qualification and validation activities, and collaborates with design, systems, and test engineering teams. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, experience with optics, opto-electronics, electronics, reliability engineering, and statistical analysis, plus U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee/asylum status. The position is based in Redmond, Washington, with a base salary of 137,300 to 185,700 USD annually.
