Description
Apple’s Optical Sensing Product Design team is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to lead the end-to-end design, development, and validation of spectral sensing technology. The role covers optical module and packaging design, system integration, design tradeoffs, failure analysis, manufacturing and vendor collaboration, and proof-of-concept work. Candidates need experience with miniature or opto-mechanical modules, proficiency in 3D CAD and statistical tools, and at least a bachelor’s degree; optical sensing, simulation, GD&T, and manufacturing experience are preferred.
