Description
The Optical Systems Engineer will design and optimize optical systems, including beam expanders and relay optics, using Zemax OpticStudio. The role includes tolerance and Monte Carlo analyses, coordination with opto-mechanical teams, development of alignment and test concepts, operation of optical test benches, creation of technical specifications, and support of procurement, integration, testing, validation, and qualification. The profile requires a degree in optics, optoelectronics, physics, electrical engineering, or a comparable field, several years of experience with airborne optical-system development and validation, laser-optics and Gaussian-beam knowledge, Zemax and high-precision optical-system testing experience, and strong German and English skills.
