Amazon LEO is hiring an Optical Test Systems Engineer to design, build, qualify, and automate electro-mechanical optical test stations for manufacturing-line integration of optical intersatellite link systems. The role covers end-to-end system verification, thermal cycling and thermal vacuum testing, optical metrology, PCBA-level failure diagnosis, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and production test automation using Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in engineering or physics, at least four years of electro-optical or opto-mechanical systems experience, and experience with lasers, detectors, optical fiber, optical metrology, and manufacturing-level testing. The position is based in Redmond, Washington, with a base salary of $117,300 to $160,000 annually.
