Matter is hiring an Optomechanical Engineer to lead the design, analysis, integration, qualification, and manufacturing readiness of high-performance optical payloads for space and airborne platforms. The role owns optomechanical architecture, STOP performance, alignment, environmental testing, hardware integration, documentation, and technical leadership, with onsite work in El Segundo, California. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree, at least five years of optomechanical design experience, and proficiency with CAD, GD&T, FEA, and optical hardware.
