SBQuantum is hiring a full-time Optomechanical Engineer in Sherbrooke to own the design, simulation, development, testing, and industrialization of its diamond quantum magnetometer’s optomechanical subsystem. The role bridges research and product development, transforming laboratory prototypes into rugged, manufacturable sensors for drones, aircraft, and spacecraft. Responsibilities include precision optical and mechanical design, laser and fiber-optic integration, thermal and vibration management, assembly processes, and design-for-manufacturing activities. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, engineering physics, or a related field, strong optics or optomechanics experience, and at least five years designing precision optomechanical systems.
