Description
The MedServ Group is hiring a part-time Optometrist to provide monthly visits to residents in skilled nursing facilities. Responsibilities include comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and assisting with ocular disease, prescribing corrective lenses or eye medications, and providing pre- and post-operative care. The role requires a Doctor of Optometry degree and an active state license, along with strong communication, interpersonal, and professional skills. Visits are scheduled Monday through Friday, typically 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible schedules available, and involve 7–8 hours of patient care and paperwork per visit. Compensation is $40–$45 per patient or 35%–40% of collections, with $1,050–$1,250 per visit.
