Description
MDC is hiring an Orbital Welder to fabricate custom vacuum chambers and components from customer-supplied drawings and blueprints. The role performs orbital welding of tubing and components, sets up power supplies and gas-mixing equipment, creates weld coupons, and carries out manual fabrication such as port alignment, scribing, cutting, tacking, tuning, and welding. The position requires familiarity with stainless-steel metallurgy, weld settings and filler-rod selection, GD&T, vacuum-tight welding, target-point fixtures, and precise angular and dimensional tolerances. Candidates need an associate degree or welding-training certification and at least 7–10 years of related experience or training, with a stated salary of $25.00–$27.00.
