Public Citizen is hiring a grant-contingent Houston Organizer to develop and implement local clean-energy and environmental-policy campaigns in Fort Bend and Harris Counties. The role includes coalition representation, grassroots organizing, community education, campaign strategy, government advocacy, event and media support, and relationship building. Candidates should have organizing experience, familiarity with Texas and Houston politics and climate issues, strong communication skills, and basic Microsoft Office, videoconferencing, and social media competence; a college degree is preferred but not required. The position is based in Houston, Texas, with travel to Fort Bend County and Austin, and offers a salary of $70,114–$101,455 plus medical, vision, dental, retirement, leave, and other benefits.
