Description
The Ortho Technician assists physicians and healthcare providers in delivering medical and administrative support across various orthopedic practice settings. Key responsibilities include performing procedures such as wound care, dressing changes, EKGs, suture removal, cast/splint application, injection administration, vaccine delivery, phlebotomy, and assisting with ultrasound procedures. They also coordinate patient care, prepare examination rooms, document patient information in electronic health records, educate patients on recovery instructions, manage medical supply inventory, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
