42dot is hiring a System Software Engineer to develop and enhance tools for vehicle operating systems, including messaging monitoring and recording/replay tools and a vehicle emulator. The role focuses on distributed messaging systems based on the DDS specification, with responsibilities spanning developer and production environments and vehicle computing systems. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, strong C and C++ skills, experience with Linux system software and distributed computing, and familiarity with distributed protocols such as GRPC, Protobufs, SomeIP, or DDS.
