Description
The Shipyard Pipefitter performs shipbuilding and ship-repair work involving pipe installation, welding, skid and foundation assembly, pipeline testing, machinery alignment, and fitting installation. The role requires a high school or vocational education, at least three years of relevant shipyard, ship-machinery, pipefitting, or steel-fabrication experience, and FCAW, GTAW, SMAC, and SMAW welding certifications. It is a full-time, safety-sensitive position with indoor and outdoor work, physical demands including lifting and working at heights, and no supervisory responsibilities.
